Which Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board Should I Choose?

The main difference between a high and low priced Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board package is the quality of the contents.

For example, some boards are made with higher-quality materials than others; however, this doesn’t necessarily mean that all cheap Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board packages will be lower in quality than expensive ones.

It just means that they may not have as many features or accessories included for a cheaper price point overall. A higher quality Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board is more reliable than a lower-quality one because it can take the beating of being used for longer.

A little maintenance every now and then will go a long way with keeping your cheaper board in good condition, although most people don’t bother to do this which results in their Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board breaking down sooner rather than later.

Don’t get tricked by a high price tag. You can find low-cost boards that are of equal, if not higher quality than the ones with a hefty pricetag from popular brands.

Usually, the sellers tell you how many layers of what quality PVC are in their inflatable board and how they’re constructed.

Some well-known brands have upped prices by having more effective ways to attach multiple layers or using a thicker layer of PVC whereas cheaper ones usually only use one single thin tape around it

(even when some say there’s 2, that just means two tapes at the rails but not everywhere else). There are many ways that you can be deceived in life, but one of the most powerful is believing what other people say.

For general use, a single layer of PVC can do just fine. More layers usually make the board more sturdy and last longer in harsher conditions.

You are more likely to buy an inflatable SUP because they can be lightweight and portable. However, there are a few factors that make the portability of one inflatable SUP different from another.

When you are considering purchasing a lightweight SUP, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons of this type. For instance, lighter boards have more expensive components so they cost more overall than their heavier counterparts.

While an affordable board may be light in weight compared to top quality ones that are heavy for sale, what really matters is how well-constructed these products are because lower quality materials lead them to being less durable after time has passed by.

How Do I Find the Perfect Stand Up Paddle Board?

There are many different reasons why people might want to go paddle boarding. For example, some people just want a relaxing day of cruising around on calm waters whereas others may be looking for speed and thrilling waves.

Maybe you’re not sure yet but all-around SUP boards can vary slightly depending on what it is that you need them for or if yoga or fishing are more important than the other activities listed above!

What’s to stop you from picking up a cheap Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board and taking it out for an adventure? This sport is suitable for people of almost all ages and in almost all water conditions. I say “almost” because the cheaper ones aren’t good enough if you plan on doing any river surfing or whitewater rafting.

What Benefits Can I Expect From Stand Up Paddle Boarding?

Stand up paddle boarding (SUP) is a great full body workout and the fresh air in the outdoors stimulates our mind, spirit, and bodies. It’s for all ages because SUP can be therapeutic while also exhilarating at its fullest potential!

There are plenty of benefits to stand-up paddleboarding: it’s good for your body, mind and soul whether you go cheap or not; it’s an exciting yet calming activity that provides therapy as well; plus there are so many ways you can use this sport on water such as fishing excursions with family members too.

Is It Safe To Use a Stand Up Paddle Board?

Inflatable stand up paddle boards are a great option for those who don’t want to put too much money into their inflatable stand up paddle board. They’re also good if you plan on going out in calmer waters or just need something that’s easy and light enough to travel with! However, these inflatable SUPs aren’t as durable as non-inflatables so they require more care when using them around rough water conditions.

If you do decide an inflatable is the right purchase though, be sure not get anything below 10ft because otherwise it will typically lack stability! In addition remember one of my favorite tips:

In order to protect yourself from any damage whatsoever always bring your leash along–just loop it through your ankle before getting back on your Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board.

If you’re worried about sharks, don’t be. Watch the video to see why.

Selecting the Best Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board

When it comes to buying the best inflatable stand up paddle board, there are a lot of factors that need to be considered.

For example, what do you want your SUP for? Do you plan on using it often or just occasionally?

Are price and durability big concerns for you in addition to performance and size/weight capacity when choosing an inflatable paddleboard (IPB)?

When considering these different factors as well as others unique to each individual person’s needs, anyone can find their ideal IPB!

Do you need experience with a SUP?

A SUP can be used in a variety of ways and for different reasons. For example, it may be the family’s first board so they mainly want to use it around lakes or calm water at the beach.

But maybe there is someone who wants to take their skills up a notch and try surfing with other inflatable stand up paddle board models.

The main point here is that you should consider your skill level before purchasing one because not all boards are meant for beginners!

Whether you’re looking to take your inflatable stand up paddle board out on the lake for a bit of yoga or if you plan on spending hours fishing, there’s a SUP that can fit what it is that interests you.

Different types are better suited for different activities, so it’ll be helpful in helping to determine which one will work best depending upon whether they’ve got more stability and less agility with bigger stances being harder to maneuver through water currents.

What Size Do I Need?

Boards come in a variety of sizes, but the most important consideration is determining what kind of board you’ll be using for your watersport.

The length and width will determine how fast or stable it can go! For beginners who aren’t sure which activities they’re going to try yet, I recommend getting a middle-sized beginner’s model that allows operation on both flatwater and surf conditions.

You may want a shorter one if you plan to do surfing since maneuverability is key with those types of boards;

However, stability becomes more crucial as water levels rise so consider purchasing something around 9 feet long by 3 1/2 ft wide if this sounds like an activity to add into your repertoire. If speed seems promising then look for something longer than 9 feet.

All-rounder boards are perfect for beginners and children because they provide great stability. They work well for many activities such as fishing, yoga , surfing etc…. This makes all rounder SUPs very popular.

However, if you have a bit of experience behind you with confidence in your stability then we recommend that you go long which glides easier through the water along with greater speed than short ones close to shore.

Larger, heavier people should go for wider boards as it provides them with better stability. It’s also great if you plan on using your SUP paddle or yoga and fishing.

For a family that uses their inflatable stand up paddle board for multiple activities, get the largest one required so everyone can use it comfortably .

If pressed to choose between sizes of 10 ft (305 cm), which is suitable both beginners and range of activities , then opt for medium length instead because this might save cost than buying different sized ones.

Board Thickness

To determine the right board thickness, don’t forget to consider your weight. A 5″ (13 cm) thick board is good for most people since it provides stability and balance when paddling on water.

However if you’re particularly heavy or plan on having a child/dog ride with you in front of the paddleboard then aim for 6 inches (15 cm).
